The rows of spaces and Q, together with their associated indications, 'such as letters of the alphabet, arelprovided for spelling out the names of persons or objects.
The device is employedx to develop ones psychic powers and to show the degree of development by the use .of the reference designating element in connection with the traversing element and the device is used in the following manner The traversing element is held in a manner as when one is going to write af letter and when held, preferably the arm should be tree from the board A. The feet should not be crossed butplaced flat on the floor. It usually takes from live to ten minutes before the traversing element starts moving and when moving vit will usually travel lin a circle, or rup and down the boa-rd A, but the demonstrator should let the traversing element stray where it will. The traversing element moves to get the ltorce. Finally it will enter one of the sockets and the explanation relative to the number designation in connection with such vsocket can be hadV .by reference to the chart of explanation. rlChe device can 'be used 1in the dark or light. It the demonstrator sits in the dark, there should be a small lamp yso that atter the traversing element has entered a socket, the number .designation lfor such socket can be ascertained. The more people who sit with the demonstrator, the lmore force will be obtained for writing and spelling out objects from the alphabet associated with the rows I and Q. W'hen the messages are not correct, the traversing element should'enter socket a, Not correct, or it correct; the element should enter socket 0. `The demonstrator may not obtain the messages correctfat once, or the traversing element may not move until theoperator sits a number of times. lVhenthetraversing element goes to the socket Z) Good night, the luse of the device should be discontinued.
rlhe reference designating element may consist of a sheet of any suitable character or linish or a rigid panel or plate member for the top of ay tableor stand, or a table top, and the traversing .element can be constructed .of any suitable material. i I
While in the foregoing there has been illustrate'd and described such combination and arrangement of elements as constitute the preferred embodiment of a psychic device, in accordance with this invention, for
practicing and developing psychic demonof each of the other rows of said sets, Aand a traversing element for selectively entering any one of said sockets. Y
2. A psychic device comprising a reference designating plane surface provided with two spaced sets of spaced rows of spaced sockets, indicators in the form of letters of the alphabet associated with the sockets of one of the rows of each of said sets, a reference designation in the form of a number associated with each of the sockets of each of the other rows of said sets, and atraversing element for selectively entering any one of said sockets, the numerical reference designations for one row being different throughout and different from an adjacent row.
3. A'psychic device comprising areference designating plane surface provided with two spaced sets of spaced rows of spaced sockets, indicators in the form of letters of the alphabet associated with the Asocketsof one of the rows of each of said sets, a reference designation in the form vof a number a-sso-v ciated with each of the sockets of each of the other rows of said sets, a traversing element for selectively entering any one of said sockets, the numerical reference designations for one row being different throughout and different from an adjacent row, and the nui vspaced sets of spaced rows of spaced sockets, indicators in the form of letters of the alphabet associated with the sockets of one of the rows of each of said sets, a reference designation in the form of a number asso-` ciated with each of the sockets of each of the other rows of said sets, a traversing element for selectively entering any one of saidl sockets, rows of sockets arranged between said sets land'provided with reference designations, and sockets positioned between said sets and ,havingy indicators associated therewith.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto af-v fixed my signature. f
