and the flexible strengthening cylindrical core 17 inserted -thereinas the tubular cov ering 16'is drawn oif the stretching arbor. 'This insures a tight `flush fit betweenthe seamless tubular coveri'ngl' and the fiexilble ,strengthening core 17.
The core 17 comprises rin the preferred kembodiment shown inFi'gs, ,2 to 4 and 6 to 8 the closely covering .16 made up of. ay plurality of the .longitudinally extending interlinlred helical vwires 18 two strands of which are shown in wound helical flexible stiffening spring 2O (Fig. 7) which may be inserted within the tubular seamless covering 1G as it is drawn off the stretching arbor, and the flat stiffening spring` 21 contained therein. The spring 21 may then be inserted within the spring 20. Though the closely wo'und helical, flexible, stiflening spring 2O is preferably of circular cross-section, it may be made of any shape without departing from my invention.
The helical spring 2O serves to give the circular sectional formation to the completed article, whereas the flat spring 21 being stiffer serves, wnen the article is made into a bracelet as in Fig. 9 or a mesh-bag handle, to resiliently spring the article back to the desired former sha ae after distortion in use. IVe thus see that each member functions in the combination completed article. The seamless tubular covering 16 made up of a plurality of longitudinally extending interlinked helical wires 1S serves to give strength and a pleasing appearance with a slight amount of resiliency to the completed article. The closely wound helical spring 20 serves to make the completed article cylindrical, aids its resiliency, and strengthens it. The flat spring 21 serves when once bent to the desired configuration to make the article capable of resiliently springing back to the desired configuration after distortion in use, and gives additional stiffening effect.
Fig. 9 showsa bracelet 25 constructed of the material of my invention. It is obvious how necessary it is for a bracelet to resume its original shape after having been put on or taken off.
In Figs. 10 to 12, I show a modified form of my invention wherein I the fiexible strengthening core 17 is approximately solid. As shown, this comprises a strip of fabricated wire, woven or otherwise, rolled over to form a solid flexible tubular core 30 having the seam 31 therein. It is obvious, however, that any flexible strengthening material, preferably of cylindrical shape, metallic or otherwise, may be employed as the core 17 without in any way departing from my invention. It is also obvious that suitable equivalents may be substituted for the cylindrical helical spring 20, such as the fabricated wire core shown in Figs. 10 to 12, and that if desired the flat strengthening spring 21 or its equivalent may be inserted in the embodiment shown in Figs. 10 to 12. If desired equivalents may be substituted as means to give the article greater stiffness and resiliency for the flat stiffening spring 21 shown.
It is obvious that I have provided a wire fabric of improved construction of more pleasing appearance, of greater strength,.
flexibility, and resiliency than hitherto, wherein each part co-operates to add func ,tions to .the ,completed article.
I employ the word woven wire to comprise a wire fabric composed of a series of wire helices interlinled with each other, whether the helices extend longitudinally of the fabric and are transversely interlinked with each other as in my preferred embodiment, or whether they extend circumferentially of the fabric and are longitudinally interlinked with each other.
It is understood that my invention is not limited to the specific embodiments shown and that various deviations may be made therefrom without departing from the spirit and scope of the appended claims.
lVhat I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:
1. An article of jewelry composed of a seamless woven wire tubular covering made up of a plurality of wire helices interlinked with each other and a flexible strengthening cylindrical metallic core.
2. An article of jewelry composed of a seamless woven wire tubular covering made up of a plurality of longitudinally extending helical wires transversely interlinkedA with each other and a flexible strengthening cylindrical metallic core.
8. An article of` 'ewelry composed of a seamless tubular covering made up of a plurality of longitudinally extending helical wires transversely interlinked with each other, and a closely wound helical flexible stiffening spring contained therein.
4. An article of jewelry composed of a seamless woven wire tubular covering made up of a plurality of wire helices interlinled with each other and a closely wound helical flexible stiffening spring contained therein.
5. An article of manufacture composed of a seamless tubular covering made up of a plurality of longitudinally extending helical wires transversely interlinked with each other, a closely wound helical flexible stiffening spring contained therein, and a flat stiffening spring contained in said helical spring.

An article of manufacture composed of a seamless tubular covering made up of a plurality of longitudinally extending helical wires transversely interlinked with each other, a closely wound helical flexible stiffening spring tightly contained therein, and a fiat stiffening spring contained in said helical spring. 2

9. An article of manufacture composed of a seamless tubular covering made up of a plurality of longitudinally extending helical Wires transversely interlinked with each other, a flexible strengthening cylindrical core contained therein, and stiffening means contained within said core.
10. An article of manufacture composed of a seamless tubular covering made up of a plurality of longitudinally extending helical Wires transversely interlinked with each other, a flexible strengthening core contained therein, and stiffening means contained Within said core.
