C. G. BAITZ uoqn'rme FOR DOLL HEADS on wmz FRAMES Filed March 5, 1924 Patented Mar. 24, 1925.
CHARLES G, BAITZ, OF NEW YORK, N. Y.
MOUNTING FOR DOLL HEADS ON WIRE FRAMES.
Application filed March 5, 1924. Serial No. 697,133.
a citizen of Rumania, residing in New York, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented a new and useful #[ounting for Doll Heads 011 Wire Frames, of which the following is a specification.
The object of my invention is to provide an improved mounting of the type hereinafter described and disclosed in the accompanying drawings. The article is used for boudoir lights, ornamental dolls, telephone concealers and the like. My main object is to provide a novel method of attaching the head to the frame by screwing it on. Heretofore, wires have been used for attaching the header bust to the wire frames, which method has proved tedious and cumbersoine.
Figure 1 is a perspective view device;
Fig. 2 is a bottom plan view of the bust ,of the doll, and
Fig. 3 is a detailed vertical section of the mounting.
Like numerals indicate like parts in each of the several views. 7
Referring to the accompanying drawings, 1 designates the wire frame, to which is attached the novel hollow, circular, tapered mounting member 2, having a threaded upper end portion 3, adapted for screwthreaded engagement with the threaded metal seat 4, preferably of the ring shape of my seat extending upward into the lower porshown in Fig. 3, positioned approximately in the center of the bust 5 of the doll. The I frame 1 composes the doll body and is also a support for the bust for display purposes for a dress, which dress may conceal a telephone, or function as a shadefor a boudoir lamp or the like.
This construction permits of unscrewing the bust from the frame for convenience in shipment, and also facilitates dressing the doll. There is also an advantage in that there is less danger of injury to the doll than is the case with the former method of mounting, which consists of imbedding wires directly in the bust of the doll.
What I claim is:
1. Ina mounting for doll heads on wire frames, thecoinbination of a wire frame, a hollow tapered circular mounting member having a threaded upper end portion, a-doll 5 bust, and a threaded seat extending upward into the lower portion of-the aforesaid doll bust, and adapted for screw threaded engagement with the above mentioned circular n'iounting member. 7 p
2. In a mounting for doll heads on wire frames, the combination of a wire frame, a mounting member having a threaded upper end portion, a doll bust, and a threaded tion of theaforesaid doll bust and adapted for screw threaded engagement with the above mentioned circular mountlng men'iber.
