' an d St-ate of Connecticut, have invented anew Improvement in Paper Boxes and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings and'thej letters of reference marked thereon, 'to be, a full, clear, and exact description of the same,

and which said drawings constitute part of this specification, and represent, in-' Figure 1, a perspective view; Fig. 2, a ver tical central section; and, in Figs. 3 and at,

This invention relates to an improvement in the manufacture of paper boxes, with special reference to what are known as collar-boxes, but applicable to other purposes; theobjeet being ehiefiy'to dispense with the pasting op erationsor the use of any adhesive material; and the invention consists in forming tongues on one part and corresponding slits in another part, in passing the tongues through the said slits and turning the tongues down upon the surface, where they are secured by entering other slits, or by rivets or other suitable device.
