To all whom it may concern: Be it known that I, FRANK TAMBORELLO,

a citizen of the United States, and resident of Milwaukee, in the county of Milwaukee and State of Wisconsin, have .invented oertain new and useful Improvements in Delivery Cabinets; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof.

This invention relates to an automatic delivery and receiving box. It comprises a cylindrical cabinet and a rotor therein divided into compartments, each adapted to receive goods delivered. The rotor may be swung to discharge position wherein the housewife has access to the filled compartments through a door.

The main object of the invention is to provide a receptacle of this character which is designed especially for use in apartments or'dwellings where the occupants are away for the greater portion of the time, so that collections and deliveries may be made without'inconvenience' and which is so constructed that it can be turned in one direction only and when the various compartments are filled the door of the receptacle will be automatically, locked and can only be ,readily moved from-place to opened with a key.

-An obj'ect of the invention is the pro vision of a cabinet that is portable and place so that it may be conveniently carried into the house ordeposited on a porch or in any other suitable location.

Another object is to provide a receiving receptacle for protecting the articles placed therein from the elements as well as from tampering by thieves;

A. further important objct' of theinvention is the provision of a rotor having a low cylindrical wall which permits the ready insertion into the compartments of goods delivered and at the same time protects the goods from contact with the cylindrical cabinet wallwhich otherwise might upset bottles and-tear packages.

The cylindrical wall servesfurther to impart strength and'durability to'the construction.

An ob'ect of the invention is the provision o a lever and pallet adapted to cooperate with a ratchet for advancing the rotor, a link connecting the lever to the dclivery door. a The arrangement is such that considerable leverage is exerted at the time .of initiation of movement of the rotor.

The opening of the door advances the rotor in such wise as to position a compartment between two successive partitions'immediatel at the deliver opening. During the movement of the rotor, the goods are held in safe position by a low cylindrical wall 30, which is rigid with disc 22 and contacts with theouter edges of partitions 23. Cylindrical wall 30 permits the ready insertion of the goods and protects them from being swung against the wall 10 of the cabinet by centrifugal force. There is thus no danger ofups'etting the bottles, or tearing of 2&5 packages. The rotor is constructed strongly, the partitions 23 being" secured to disc 24: by screws 37 and cylindrical wall 30 cooperates with the partitions and disc 22 to impart strength. I

I claim: 1. The combination of a cabinet having an opening therein for the delivery of goods,

and a second opening therein for the removal of goods, a door for closing said first mentioned opening, a door for closing said second opening, a rotor pivoted to rotate in said cabinet, a pivoted lever, a pallet on said lever, 'a ratchet rigid with said rotor and a link connected at oneend to said lever and at the other end to said door, said lever being'almost at right angles to said link when said door is in closed position.

2. The combination of a cabinet having a door opening thereinto, a rotor rev-olubly mounted within said cabinet and having a plurality of compartments adapted to, be

successively positioned adjacent said, door, a ratchet wheel carried by said rotor, a pawl operated from said door for advancing said ratchet wheel and thus advancing said compartments successively upon opening of said door, a stop adapted tolimit rotary motion of said rotor after allot said compartments have past said door, and a second door giving access to said rotor and to said stop.
