The present invention reiates to road Scrapers; and its object is to provide a road having improved means ior yieldingiy libidine the seraper blade in Contact with the sartene of the reed being operated on; and inrtber, to provide such a scraper iie'i'ing improved means for changing the angle of the scraper hiade relatively to the direction of the machines, travel over the reno; and further, to provide such a srraper hoi/'ing improved means for raising end lowering scraper blade; -and further, to provide improved Amore specific means for nsrryingg' ont Said objeeis.

1'. In combination witha vehicle having comprising: a horizontally-disposed shaft rockable inhearings on said frame; a scraper blade carried by the shaft rockably on'a horizontally-disposed axis; springs carried bythe shaft and pressing against the opposite sides respectively of the scraper blade.

2. In combination with a vehicle having a frame, a road scraper comprising: ahorizontall -dispose'd shaft -rockable in bearings on saidyframe; collarscarried by the shaft;

5. ln combination with a vehicle having a vframe, a road scraper comprising: a horizontally-disposed shaft rockable in bearings on said frame; a scraper blade carried by the shaft rockably on a horizontally-disposed' axis; springs carried by the shaft and pressing against the opposite sides respectively of the scraper blade; a sleeve carried byv the shaft adjustably to fixed turned vpositions thereon; means extending between said frame and the sleeve for rocking the shaft to fixed positions 6. In combination with a vehicle having a frame, a road scraper comprising: a horizoiitally-disposed shaft rockable in bearings on said frame; collars carried by the shaft; a scraper blade carried by the collars rockably ona 1-iorizontally-disposed axis; rods carried by the collars and extending through openings in the scraper blade; springs coiled about the rods and pressing against the opposite sides. respectively of the scraper blade..

In combination with a vehicleA having a frame, a road scraper comprising.; a horizontally-disposed shaft rockable in bearings on said frame;- collarscarried by the shaft; a scraper blade carried by the collars rockably carried by the collars and extending through openings in the scraper blade; springs coiled about the rods and ressing against the opposite sides respective y of the scraper blade; means for adjusting the tension of the springs.
