Be it known that I, WILLIAM LgKEENE,
a citizen of the United States, residing at \Vaterville in the county of Kennebec' and State of Maine, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Draft-Regailators, of which the following is aspecification.
My said invention relates to an improved heat regulator designed partloularly for use in regulating furnaces for dwellinghousesdevices and in various situations.
In its preferred form my inventionycpn stitutes an'improvement over that described in my applicationNo. 142;78 filed January. 25, 1921. It is an objectof my invention is prevent strayelectrical circuits in themeca anisni, the electrical connections being en tirely insulated from the framework of the device.
Another improvement relates to the con struction by which operation of the diaft and damper of a furnace or similar controlling elements in other heating instrumentalities are regulated, e. g.,accrd1ng to the pressure in the steam boiler. In a heat regulator a frame, a shaft, means connected thereto for opening and closing a draft controlling device of a fur nace, means for driving the shaft, and mech: anism to control said driving means comprising a disk on the shaft, said disk havinga notch, a rod adapted at its end to engage said notch, an electro-magnet adjacent thereto, an armature movably mounted on the frame of the regulator and connected to the rod, a shaft driven from the first said shaft, an arm on theshaft, and a lug 0n the armature forming a stop for said arm, substantially as set pawls having forth.
