If the handle lever 54 is operated during' the movement of the blade 3G downwardly to withdraw the boss 50 'from between the lugs 32 and 34, the blade will ence cease to move downwards and will begin to more upwards under the impulse of the spring 62. When, on the other hand, the handle 54 's turned in a direction to occasion engage ment of the lbess 50 between the lugs 32 and 34 when the driver is at or near the eX- tremity of its downward movement, the boss will not at once move into the space between the lugs 32 and 34 inasmuch as in such position et the driver, the boss is alined with the lower lug 34 (see Fig. 2). As the driver rises, however, it turns the lever 40 about stud 42 until the boss is brought into alinement with the space between the lugs 32 and 34 whereupon the spring 60 thrusts the boss into such space, operatively connecting the ineising means with the lever 40.
