s seen from above, the boxes are placed on the table 13 in three rows, delivered by the channels 10, 11 and 12 respectively. Each row comprises live sub-rows located laterally of each other and each composed of sets of five superposed boxes. The channels 10, 11 and 12 terminate at different points b, c and d respectively. At each delivery point a pile f of paper sheets is located on the table and owing to the manner in which the boxes are delivered, a single operator will be able to wrap up all the boxes into packets each comprising, for instance, fifty boxes. The boxes delivered by the machine 1 for instance must not necessarily be of the same size as those delivered by the machine 2 or 3 and the cigarettes may differ in quality. A Owing to the fact that the channel 7 has a considerable length, the bottom of the last part of the said channel consists ofan endless belt 33, passing round rolls 34Vand 35. Roll 34 vis rotated by means 0f a ratchet wheel 36, connected with the said roll, and a pawl 37, provided on a swingable arm 38 and by means of a link 39 actuated by the lever arm 20 every time the plunger 22 transmits a set of boxes from the channel 4 into the channel 7 and forwards the set of boxes located in the firstpart of the channel, so

of the boxes would stick to one of the side walls of the channels and be spread on the same during the movement of the boxes, so that finally boxes can not pass through the channels. In order to remove the said disadvantage one 40 of the side walls of the channels 4, 5 and 6 is movable toward and from the opposite side wall 41 and preferably carried by two or more swingable arms 42. The side wall 40 is oscillated by any suitablemotion transmitting device actuated by the driving shaft of the machine. The said wall 40 is moved from the wall 41 each time the row of boxes contained in the channels 4, 5 and 6 respectively is fed forward in the channel, thus releasing the boxes. After the Vfeeding operation the wall 40 is again forced against the boxes.
In this manner the end flaps of the boxes are repeatedly forced against one another, their sticking together being thereby ensured. Besides a suiiciently great play is provided for the boxes during each feeding operation, which results in substantially no paste being spread on the side of the channel.
The transporting device may evidently be modified in some respect without exceeding the limits of the invention.

In a device for packeting packets delivered from a machine, the combination of a packeting table, guiding means forpackets, located between the machine and the said table and comprising channels forming an angle with each other, a plunger transmitting substantially horizontal sets of packets vfrom one channel to the subsequent channel,
constituting support for the packets, and
means for driving the belt intermittently in accordance with the motion of said plunger.
3. In a device for packeting packets de# livered from a machine, the combination of a packeting table, guiding means for packets, located between the machine and the said table and comprising channels forming an angle With each other, means for transmitting substantially horizontal sets of packets from one channel to the subsequent channel, the channel last mentioned being helicoidal for an angle of 90, so that said sets will be shifted to a vertical position, and means for transmitting sets of packets from the said helicoidal channel to another of the first mentioned channels whereby the packets are delivered on the table in rows comprising sub-rows of superposed packets.
