This invention relates n general to lockers and has for its object broadlythe provision of a new and improved construction of locker which may be conveniently employed to provide the necessarynumber of locker equipment for a given number of users and through the utilization of a minimum amount of floor space. Lockers embodying my invention contemplate in this regard arrangement of individual coat and hat com pa'rtinents.

A further object of my present invention is a construction of this character wherein the two compartments may be locked closed by a single locking device, although said device may include one, or in fact any number of locking engagements between the door or doors and the locker frame. Itwill,how= ever, he manifest that from certain. aspects of the invention individual locks inay' be employed for the compartments although it is believed that such arrangeme'ntsacrifices some of the advantages.

Another highly important object of the invention is the provision of a locker of the character described, the doors of which will require minimum clearance between lockers inlswinging to open, position. It is to be borne in mind in this connection that one of themainpurposes of the present inven tion is to effect economy in floor space necessary for a locker occupant, and not only is it desirable-that these lockers cover a minimum amount of floor space but also that, when arranged in rows, the rows may be positioned as closelytogether as will permit use of the lockers by the occupants.
