I claim l. ln a binding andiling device, a container', a plurality of loose leaf holders arranged in said container and free to be lift ed therefrom, each holder having the sides thereof arranged to rest normally' at the same level, and means for raising one side of each holder more than the other side thereof.

2. ln a binding and tiling device, a loose leaf holder having a back and covers hinged thereto and adapted to rest on the back, a Hat bottom container for accumulating a plurality of said holders and means for raising one side of a holder, While in said container, a greater distance from the bottom of said container than the other side of sait holder.

3. ln a binding and filing device, the combination with a plurality of loose sheets, of a binder therefor comprising a back upon which the binder is adapted to rest and hinged covers at the sides thereof, and means for raising one side thereof more than the other.

4c. In a binding and linig device, the combination With a plurality of loose sheets, of a holder therefor having a back uponwhich the holder is adapted to rest and covers pivoted thereto extending in an upright directions, and means for inclining the back so that one of the covers is raised more than the other, thus correspondingly separating the upper edges of sheets contained in the holder so that they may be easily separated in thumbing them.

5. In a binding and filing device, a loose leaf holder having a back and covers hinged thereto, the holder normally resting upon the back and the covers extending upwardly therefrom, and means for raising one edge of the back at Will to thereby elevate one cover above the other and to correspondingly" incline any loose leaves contained in the holder so that they will be separated at the upper edges thereof. j

6. The combination With a plurality .of loose sheets, of a binder or holder therefor, and means separate from the holder for engaging the edges of the sheets to secure them in the holder or to secure them to one another independently of the holder.

10.'The combination with a loose leaf holder comprising a back with openings therein and hinged covers, of a plurality of sheets having projections which extend through the openingsin the back, means for raising one of the covers relativelyto the other for correspondingly inclining the back and the sheets contained in the holder,and a clamping device'having means for engaging the projecting portions of the sheets for `binding them together and preventing their removal from the holder. i

In a binding andling device, a loose leaf holder having a perforated back upon Which it is adapted to rest, a plurality ofy loose sheets having projections insertable through the perfo'rations of the back of the holder, a receptacle in vvhichsaid holder is placed With the free edges of the sheets disposed uppermost, means for inclining 'the back of the hol-der at Will in the4 receptacle to separate the upper edges of the sheets for thumbing them, and a removable bind.- ing device for engaging the projections of the sheets which extend through the perforations for holding the sheets together and forpreventing their removal from the hinder.
