TAG HOLDER.
Application filed May 25, 1922. .Serial No. 563,657.
To (ZZZ whom it may concern: Be it known that I, ALFRED LESSARD, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city of lVashington, in the District of Columbia,
have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Tag Holders, of which the following is a specification. v
This invention relates to holders for tags, chiefly used in shoe factories to indicate di:t
1.0 ierent grades of shoes; and it consists in the novel construction and combination of the parts hereinafter fully described and claimed. r
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a side view of a tag holder constructed according to this invention. Fig.2 is a plan View of the same.
A supporting stem 4: is provided having a screwthreaded lower end portion 5 adapted to be screwed into a shelf or case containing the goods. The upper end portion .6 of this stem is also preferably screwthreaded, and 7 is a tubular socket which is screwed onto the part 6. A hook 8 provided with a screwthreaded shank 9 is screwed into a hole formed crosswise in the socket, and bears against the part 6 so that the socket 7 is locked to the stem 4. I
Any approved form of price tag '10 or other similar device is hung on the hook 8,
and can be removed and replaced as often as desirable. A flag 12 is provided, and'it has astatf '14 which is screwed into the upper end portion of the socket 7 and can be removed and replaced as often as desirable.
The flag is preferably formed of thinsheet metal, and it carries any suitable announcement, such as'the day'of the week; F lags having difierentnamesor dates can be.subi stituted one for another without removing {the supporting stem or the tag, and a, set of suitable flags is provided for use with a series' of stems in different parts of the factory.
l Vhatl claim is: I 1. A- tag holder comprlsing a supporting stem a socket'carried by the said stem, a
support for a tag-attached to-the said socket; and a ren'iovable flag provided with a staff for engaging with the said socket and being removable therefrom without disturbing the support for the tag. 7 I
2. A tagholder, comprising a supporting stem, a tubular socket carried by the-said stem, a support for a tag having tt iSClfGVV- I threaded shank which engages with a'iateral hole 111 the socket and looks it on the saidstem, and a removable flag provided with a staff which engages withthe said socket.
3. A tag holder, comprising a supporting stem, a tubular screwthreaded socketscrewed onto the upper end portion of the said stein, means for supporting a tag also carried by the said stem, and a removable flag provided with a staff which is screwed into the said socket in line with the said stem. I p
In testimony whereof I have affixed my a signature.
