he costumer hooks 24 are located abovethe clock mechanism and are preferably held as by the jointed braces 25 in an inclined position as shown in both fi res. The hooks 24 are hinged as indicateflit 26 to the 0st and in the upper ends of the recesses 27 1nto which the hooks may fold when out of use. The hooks 24 may be of the character shown or any other suitable form.

The lamps will have suitable wiring connections with a wall or floor plug. Arms 29 are made fastto the post-just beneath its upper end and extend outwardly to receivethe lamp shade 30.
In use, the costumer hooks 24, arms 16 and table leaves 7 may be folded in their respective receses and the devlce then assumes the customary appearance of a floor lamp. However, when it is desired to use the device as a hat and coat rack, the hooks may be pulled outwardly and caused to resume the position shown. What is claimed is:
1. A floor lamp and the like comprising a column, means for su rting the me, a lamp structure carrie y the column, said colunm having an enlargement intermediate its height forminga shoulder with the ormechanism on the arms, substantially as described.
2. A floor lamp and the like comprising a column, a base supporting the column, a magazine holder carried by the base about the column, a table having collapsible leaves secured to the column above the base, a clock structure mounted on the column above the table, arms pivoted to the column below the clock structure and having collapsible braces for supporting the same, collapsible illuminating, means carried by the arms, collapsibly mounted costumer hooks on the column above the clock mechanism, and a lamp structure at the top portion of the column, substa-ntiall as described.
