Be it known that l, SHERMAN T. liiNnnL, a citizen ot' the United States. residing at Los Angeles, in the county oi Los Angeles and State of California. have invented new and useful improvements in Gauge-Coci- Operating Tools. of which the following` is a speciiication.
My invention relates to tools tor operating` oil gauge eoclts of the Ford type, and it is a purpose of iny invention to provide a tool ot this character which is adapted to be associated with an autoniol'iile in such manner that it can be operated troni a point at the side ot 'the car so as to eliminate the necessity ot the operator crawling under the car to open the cocks, as is now the present practice. lt is also a purpose of niy inven tion to provide a gauge cock operating tool which can be associated with an automobile to constitute an integral part thereot and to he securely held against rattling.

The opening` in the apron i sufnc ntly wide to allow of the tool being ehrt d to the handle of either coclr as is shown in f2. and when the tool not in operation it assumes a horizontal position with the soelze receiving the handle ot vthe coclr C. The spring i9 not only serves to facilitate the manipulation oi the tool. but prevents the latter frein rattling'.
