Cooperating with this two-part head 4, 5 connected by a web 6. This carrier is anchored'to the base by positioning the head 4 of the screw and the vweb 6 in a slot 7 formed in one end of the Abase 1, the screw being prevented from turningby iiattening one of the heads as shown at 8. The plate clamp, marked I9, is movable onuthe carrier so as to position the clamp in proper' relation to the plate for adjusting the plate relatively to the bed, which movement is effected by thetool hereinafter described. Vhile this may be effected in various ways, a clamp moving device is provided consistingof a nut 10 on the threaded shank 3, before referred to. This nut is provided 'witha flange 11 vwhich takes into a groove 12in the clamp, thus causing lthe gear nut having a gear or wheel 13.
