The vertical adjustment enables the composition rollers to be adjusted into proper contacting relation with the inlring plate and type, and the horizontal adjustment enables the contacting relation with the vibrator roller always to be preserved. For example, set screws 21 may be loosened and by manipulating the two set screws 26 the blocks 17 may be shifted to the right or left. At the same time the screw 25 may be actuated for movingl saidblocks up or down. After proper adjustment the screws 21 are again clamped. out altering the relation between the truck rollers 13 and the bearers on which they travel or the relation betweenv the gear 12 and the rack with which it engages. The construction is particularly advantageous because it enables proper adjustment to be made to compensate for any variations in the sizes of the composition rollers, either as said rollers are replaced by new ones or `as they become compacted or shrink in use.
The adjustment therefore enables the composition rollers to be made to travel in proper contact with the inlring surface and also with the type. rlhis construction is therefore more'satisfactory than one whereiii the inlring plate itself is adjusted relative to the rollers, which adjustment when does not-improve the contacting relat" the inlring rollers and type, or other constructions in which the composition rollers are adjusted bodily `with the Vtruclr rollers and driving gearv12, which disturbs the drive to the rollers.

1. Inking mechanism for printing presses, comprising an inking plate, extension bearers, trucks having rollers movable along the same, inlring rollers carried thereby, and means for adjusting said inking rollers relative to said truck rollers.
2. Inking mechanism for printing presses, comprising an inlring plate, extension bearers, trucks having rollers movable along the same, a vibrator roller, and inking rollers driven by and adjustable relative to said truck rollers around the axis of said vibrator roller.
3. Inking mechanism for printing presses, comprising an inking plate, extension bear'- ers, trucks having vrollers movable along the same, a vibrator roller, and inlring rollers driven by and adjustable relative to said truck rollers around and tow-ard and from the axis of said vibrator roller.
4. lnlring mechanism for printing presses, comprising an inking plate, extension bearers, trucks having rollers movable along the same, inking rollers carried thereby, a rack extending along an extension bearer, and a vibrator roller having geared connection to said rack, said inlring rollers being driven by and adjustable relative to said vibrator roller and truck rollers.
