MASSAGE-TOOL.

Specification or" Letters Patent.

Application filed January 28, 1920. Serial No. 354,560.

To all whom it may concern Be it known that l, HENRY MALM, a citizen of the United States, and a resident ot' the city of New York, borough of Manhattan, in the county and State of New York, have invented a new and Improved Massage- Tool, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.

The present invention relates to new and useful improvements in toilet devices, and it pertains more particularly to devices especially designed for massaging the face and scalp.

lt is the primary object oi the invention to provide a combination device which is capable ot' attachment to the hand of the operator in such a manner that either oi the devices may be used.

lt is a further object of the invention to provides device of this character especially adapted for massagin` the scalp.

l'Vith the above and other objects in view, reference is had to the accompanying drawing-s in Which- Figure l is an edge view of the device in its operative position;

Fig. 2 is a plan view of extended position; Y

Fig. 3 is a sectional view taken on the line 2-3-3 of Fig. 1.

Referring more particularly to the drawings, the device comprises two flat thin disks 5 and 6, composed preferably ot soft pliable ru bber, and said disks are connected together in spaced relation by means ot' a iiexible strip 7.

Projecting from each ot the disks 5 and 6 at points diametrically opposite to the. connecting strip 7 are tabs S and 9, respectively, and these tabs are provided with the head l() and socket 11, respectively, of a snap fastening designated at 12 in Figs. 1 and 3.

the device in its By reference to Fig. 2, it will-be noted that the disk 5 is provided with a pluralitv or' thin relatively close integral projections 13, which are arranged in concentric circular form on the face of said disk. The projections 13 being relatively thin are especially adapted for massaging the tender skin of the face.

rihe disk 6 is provided with a plurality of relatively large projections 14, which projections, as shown, are of considerably larger diainetrical dimension and spaced at greater intervals than are the projections 13. This disk 6 is especially adapted for massaging the scalp since the size of the projections 14 permits et' their passing` through the hair without crushing down, which operation -is also permitted by reason of the greater space between said'projections 14.

In use, the device is secured to the hand with that disk which it is desired to use on the interior of the fingers, the opposite disk occupying a position on the rear of the hand. The two members 10 and 11 of the fastening- 12 are new secured together and the device will be positioned properly on the hand to lcarry ont the massaging operation.

v Having thus described the invention, what is claimed as new is:

device of the character described comprising two substantially circular disks, an integral contracted portion connecting said disks, a projecting' tab integral with each oi said disks, the tab ot each disk being` disposed diametrically opposite its point of connection with the contracted portion, and means carried by said tabs and adapted for interengagement whereby1 the disks are adapted to be secured together in spaced relation to permit oi the insertion of the hand of the operator.

HENRY MALM.
