Specification of Letters Patent. Patented May 31, 1921.
Application filed August 10, 1920. Serial No. 402,655.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, WILLIAM JosEPH TONER and JAMES J OHN TONER, subjects of the King of Great Britain, residing at, respectively, 95 and 62 Finborough road, South Kensington, in the county of London,
in England, have invented new and useful Improvements in or Relating to Soap-Boxes for Shaving Purposes, of which the following is a specification. v 1 V The invention relates to metallic soap boxes having a ring to hold the soap tablet which fits into a cup, the said ring being provided with a cover fitted to it by a bayonet slot connection. 7

Our invention is constructed with a metallic tapered ring I), having a bead d, and a turned under or beveled edge e, at the bottom as shown in Fig. 3, this said ring I), holds or supportsthe soap tablet f of the shape shown in Fig. 8. At the top portion j of the tapered ring 6 we provide stamped projections z for engaging with the bayonet or T-shape slots it, formed in the cover 0 as shown in Figs. 1, 2, and 4:, the said cover is provided with a head is, and locked or unlocked to or from the top portion of the tapered ring I). When the soap tablet f is required for use, the cup at is removed from the tapered ring I), and by means of an ordinary shaving brush the soap is operated on at the bottom 9. A soap box for shaving purposes having a tapered ring with a bead at the top and a beveled edge at the bottom, and two projections atthe top, a tapered cup and a cover with two bayonet slots to engage with theprojections at the top of the'tapered ring, the said ring to support a special shaped soap tablet, substantially as described and shown on the accompanying drawings. 7
