To all w/mm it may ooneern e it known that i. (il'lLLAlfMl-l Wanna, citizen of the Republic of Franee. residing at llayange, Lorraine, Frauee, have invented new aml useful lmprth'ements in Explosives, of which the following is a speeifieation.
It has already been proposed to use explosives depending on the aetion of liquid air and composed of a eombustible metallie powder and a combustible organie substance capable of absorbing liquid air. Aluminium is chiefly adapted for use as a combustible metallic powder but reeourse, may also he had to magnesium, antimony, silicon and also to iron in the form of a line powder. It is not always easy to get. aluminium, magnesium. antimony and silieon in powdered form or the above materials may he too expensive; on the other hand iron may be easily obtained and at a low 4 eost.
-'lhis invention eonsists also in substituting for the eombnstible powders indicated by the addition of (-ombustihle metallic powders sueh as alumiuiiun, magne-zm|n, etc., wlueh are mixed with the other ingredients used or arranged separately. For the purpose of augmenting, the breakmg or disruptive etl'eet. hydrocarbons inv a solid or liquid state may be added.
