M; MARK:
Be it known that;I, CHARLES HAM, a citizen of the United States,and
resident of Milwaukee, in the countyof Milwaukee and State of Wisconsin, have invented new and useful Improvements n Concrete Salvage Jack-Headaof which the following. is a description, reference'bei-ng had to the accompanylng drawings, which This invention relates to improvements in concretesalvagej ack heads adapted for supportingconcrete work during construction 1 anddesigned to 'etc. v
A further objectof the invention is to permit the early. release of all form lumber.
It is one of the objects of the present invention to provide a mechanism for con-: crete construction which is adaptedfor acking up and supporting beams, girders, floor plates, concreteforms, machinery, decking,
provide a salvage jack head which has a positive means for clamping the lifting member. 7 V
A further object of the invention isto providea salvage jack head having a key and slot connection between the head member and the other parts in order to hold the head member inany desired fixed position.
A further object of the invention is to provide a salvage jack head in which the desired vertical adjustment may be quickly attained or the parts released forremoval from the completed structure, andfurthermore, that theparts of the jack may be easily separated for'convenience in packing.
all" equivalents thereof.
A further object of the invention-is to provide a salvage jack head-inwhich the head may be disengaged from the work inorder to permit the formilumber to be rej r leased forre-use immediately after the concrete has set. I v a V A further objectof the invention 1s to provide a salvagejack head which is of simple construction, is strongland durable and is well} adapted'for: the purpose 'de-' sired.
the inventionconsists of the improvedcorr.

To provide a standard 5. and similar standards. to be used I on thefloor above,lthe upper extremity-of said tubular standard 5 is partially threaded into a flanged cap 10 and the flanged cap 10 .is provided with a' flat surface 11 upon which I thefiat surfaceof a similanfianged cap 12 I rests. Through the flanged cap 12 and into V the lower flanged cap 10 until it meets tubular standard 5 is threaded .an additional tubular standard 5. In-this manner the bases of additional tubular standards for use on upper floors are firmly secured. The
lack'head member 6 is comPO ed'of 'a-cfiat 1 9 g 14 which give. it a channel shape in cross- I vsectlon for receivingthe joists 7,-- Attached 1 7 base 13 and two upwardlyprojecting arms to said jackhead memberfib'y means of a cord or chain 15 'isfa. wedge shaped keyflfi. From the foregoing description, it will be seen that the concrete salvage jack head isfof very simple construction and is well adapted for the purpose described.
What I claim as my invention is: 1 1. A concrete salvage ,jackhead, comprising a tubularstandard having a slot, a
wedge shaped key reposed in said slot-and having a horizontal edge and an angularly inclined edge, ahead member of channel shape in I cross-section carried. on and throughv which said tubular standard extends andi projectsv above, said head'xmemtubular standard members to the upper extremity of said tubular standard.
2. A concrete salvage jack head,1comprising a standard having a slot, a wedge shaped key reposed in said slot, a head mem 30 ber having two upwardly projecting arms and a flat base of greater width than the standard tofo rm a channel shaped'recess,
to support a timber on each side of the standard, said standard extending throug'h35 the head member, said head member being g carried on said standard member and resting on said key, anda means for'connecting ad- 7 ditional standard membersitothe upper extremityof said standard. V
3. A concrete salvage jack head, comprising a standard having a slot, awedge shaped 1;
key entering said slot,'a head member carried onisaid tubular standard member and resting on said key, and a pair of threaded 45 flanged caps for. connecting additional standard members to the upper extremity of V said standard,
