To all whomit may concern Be it known that I, FERNANDO SoMozA VIvAs, citizen of the UnitedStates, residing at San Francisco, in the county of San Francisco, and State of California, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Varnishes, of which the followin is a specification.
y invention relates to a fire-proofing varnish or coating, and it has for its object the provision of a material of this character which when applied to the surstructible by fire will render the same incombustible.
A further object of my invention the provision of a varnish or coating which will be highly weather-resisting, thus preserving the surfaces to which .it is applied from the deleterious action ofthe elements.
A further object of my invention is the making of a fire-proofing varnish or coating which shall be comparatively economical in cost of production and at the same time highly efficient for the purpose for which it is designed. 1
