Speriication forming part of Letters Patent No. 135,807, dated February 11, 1873.
To all whom it may concern:
Beitknown thatl, WILLIAM T. HosKINs, of Livia, in the county of Daviess and State ot' Kentucky, have invented a certain Improvement in Ditehing-Machnes, of which the following is a specification:
My invention relates to thepart Wh ich forms the ditch, as the combined whole-namely, a wedge-shaped ram mounted upon a carriage, withE .automatic progressive movement-I do not claim.

The tapering part of the front is made longer and narrower thanthe rear, which is wider and truncated.
