Application fi1ed September T0 all whom it may concern Feed Mechanism for Blindstitch Sewing- Machine of which the following is a s iccifica-tion.
My invention relates to a machine which may be used either for blind-stitching or for telling. In the former it is necessary for the bridge to project well into the feed slot of the table so that the needle will take a deep stitch so as to pass into all the layers otthe goods. the latter it is necessary for the bridge to project to a less amount into the feed slot so that the needle will pass into only the two upper layers of the cloth, and only to a small depth into the lower of these layers.
In factories the change from one to the other of these operations is frequent and heretofore the change of the feed. mecha nism was a nice adjustment. which required the use of considerable skill upon the part oi the operator.
It is the object of my invention to pro vide a bridge which may he changed from a blind-stitching to a telling position, quickly and without any manipulation.
This object is attained by the means in the accompanying drawings in whirl l i cc ure l, is a front elevation of the e and the feed mechanism of a blin sewing machine and of a bridgeconstruction embodying my invention.
