IMPRQVEMENT IN CONDENSED-MILK-CAN HOLDERS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 134,0l5, dated December 17, 1872 vTo all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ROBERT J AMES TANNER, of `Lake View, in the county of Passaic and State of New Jersey, have invented a new and Improved Condensed Milk-Can Holder, of
which the following is a specification:
My invention consists of a new article of manufacture, which is a mug or eup adapted to hold the small tin Vcans of condensed milk used on the table, and having a neat external finish, the object being to provide means for using the said milk-cans on the table without l ordinary, unsightly, and consequently objectionable for use on th'e table, I propose to provide ornamental mugs or cups of silver, silvered or plated metal, or other fine substance,
to correspond with the plate or other ware for table use; and for this purpose provide a mug, A, of suitable size, for receiving and holding the condensed-milk can B, with a handle, (J, and legs D, if required, and witha detachable top, E, to be removed only for putting the milk-can in and taking it out,with an opening, F, through which to take out the milk', and having a cover, G,hinged to the top, but the top E may bedispensed with, it' desired, the cover G being made large enough to serve for it and hinged to the top of A. I prefer, however, to have the top E as shown, for hiding the top of the milk-can more than it would be hid without it; but I may have a detachable vcollar fitting down in the top oi" the mug, and have a large cover hinged to the mug.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- As an improved article of manufacture, a coudensed-rnilk-can holder, substantially such as herein described.
