lie it known that I, Gnonen ll. Vnnrrr, a citizen of the United Eitates, residing at Middletown, Butler county, Ohio, have inrented certain new and useful Improvell'iGlltS in PuttingGreen Cups, of which the :t'ollowing is a specification.

This invention, pertaining to improvements in putting-green cups, will be readily understood from the following description taken in connection with the accompanying drawing in which Figure l is a plan or my improved put ting-green cup;

In the drawing 1, indicates a cylindrical. metallic casing, open at top and bottom, and adapted to be placed in the turf in the usual manner:

The structure is to be located in the turf as usual. The wings strengthen the socke and the casing and the opening at the lower end of the socket, and the openings between the wings rurnish "facility for perfect drainage. The inwardly declined portion of the upper end of the wings serves to guide the ball to the ball seat formed by the flange at the upper end of the socket. I claim 1 A putting green cup comprising, a casing, a flagstaif socket disposed concentrically and entirely therein and having its upper end below the top of the casing, and wings disposed vertically in the space between the casing and the socket and extending vertically the length of the socket, said space being open at its top between the wings, combined substantially as set forth.

A putting green cup comprising, a casing, a flagstaff socket disposed concentrically and entirely therein and having its upper end below the top or the casing and having its lower end open and provided with an inturned flange, and wings disposed vertically in the space between the casing and the socket and extending vertically the length of the socket, said space being open at its top between the wings, combined substantially as set forth.

A putting green cup comprising, a casing, a fiagstaii socket disposed concentrically and entirely therein and having its upper end disposed below the top of the casing and provided with an outwardly projecting flange declining toward the socket, and wings disposed vertically in the space between the casing and the socket and extending vertically the length of the socket,

said space being open at its top between the wings, combined substantially as set forth.

A putting green cup comprising, a casing, a flagstaff socket disposed concentrically and entirely therein and having its upper end below the top of the casing, and wings disposed vertically in the space between the casing and the socket and extending vertically the length of the socket, said space being open at its top between the wings, and the upper ends of the wings being beveled downwardly and inwardly toward the socket, combined substantially as set forth.
