The extremities of the plates 13 are hooked as indicated at 18 to cooperatewith a supplementary pair of retaining lugs 19 carried by the plates 15 to support the arm 9 in an inclined position and the beaks of the hooks are of such length as to prevent accidental longitudinal withdrawal of the arm incident to vibration of the truck during travel or stress of the load supported thereon. v
A third pair of lugs 20 is arranged above the retaining lugs 19 and carried by the plates 15' and coacts with the hooks 18' to effectively lock the arms or supporting members 9 in horizontal position. The outer edges of the plates 13, or those edges remote from the fioor8, are bulged to in crease the strength and rigidity of the structure and to'afford an. abutment for engagement with the flattened surfaces 21 of the lugs 19 when the pins or lugs 20 are engaged with the hooks 18.
The lower edges of the plates 15 are provided with angular depending ears 22 bolted or otherwise rigidly connected as indicated and the upper edges of the plates are pro vided with angular extensions 2 f overlying a wear plate 25 countersunk in the beam 7 whereby tendency of the plates 15 to slide downwardly upon the beam 7 is eliminated. The under surface of the. wear plate 25 is provided with anchoring tongues 26 inserted in the material of the beam 7 and an opening 27 is also formed through the plate registering with a corresponding opening 28 in the adjacent terminal of the beam 7 for the reception of fastening screws or pins carried by the floor 8 whereby the latter is secured in position upon the beams 7. The lateral extensions 24 are spaced apart a distance slightly less than the diameter of the opening 27 and constitute gripping members for coactio-n with the fastening element projected into the opening to retain it in position and prevent accidental withdrawal. A cotter or other type of pin may be fitted in openings 30 formed in the side walls of each groove 17 to prevent withdrawal from the uppermost fulcrum lug 16.
What I claim is 1. A device of the character described including a floor supporting beam, pairs of vertically alined superposed lugs carried by the beam, an adjustable arm, bifurcations I carried by said arm provided with longitudinal grooves having open outer terminals receiving the lugs and retaining the arm in a predetermined angular position with relation to the beam, the uppermost lugs constituting a fulcrum permitting swinging movement of the arm subsequent to the withdrawal of the lower lugs, and detachable having an open end receiving the vertically alined lugs. and retaining the arm in vertlcal positlon.
3. In a device of the character described, a floor supporting beam, opposed. setsof vertically alined lugs carried by the terminal of said beam, an adjustable arm, and bifurcations carried by the arm embracing the lugged terminal of the beam and each provided with an internal groove receiving one set oflugs tomaintain the arm in adjusted position. r
4. A device of the character described including a floor supporting beam, opposed sets of lugs carried by said beam, an adjustable arm, and bifurcations carried by the arm provided with internal open ended grooves receiving the lugs, retaining the arm in adjusted position and permitting longitudinal withdrawal of the arm from the lugged terminal of the beam.

A device of thecharacter described including a floor supporting beam, fulcrum lugs carried by said beam, an adjustable arm, bifurcations carried by the arm provided with internal grooves, slidably and pivotally receiving the fulcrum lugs, retaining lugs carried by the beam adapted to enter the terminals of the grooves to maintain the arm in adjusted position, and means carried by said beam coacting with the terminals of the bifurcations to maintain the arm in various other adjusted positions.

A device of the character described including a beam, fulcrum lugs carried thereby, an adjustable arm, bifurcations carried by said arm provided with internal grooves, pivotally and slidably receiving the fulcrum lugs, said grooves having open ends, retaining lugs adapted for reception in the open terminals of the grooves to maintain the arm in an adjusted position, said arm being capable of longitudinal-withdrawal from both the fulcrum and retaining lugs.

A device of the character described including a beam, fulcrum lugs carried there by, an adjustable arm provided with internally grooved bifurcations slidably and pivotally receiving the fulcrum lugs, retaining lugs carried by the beam adapted for insertion in the terminals of the grooves to maintain the arm in adjusted position, said arm being capable of longitudinal with-ff drawal from both the fulcrum andretaining lugs, and removable means engaged with the grooved portions of the bifurcations to prevent withdrawal of the arm from engagement with the fulcrum lugs.

A device of the character described including a beam, an adjustable arm, bifurcations carried by the arm provided with internal grooves, fulcrum lugs carried by the beam pivotally and slidably received in said grooves, said grooves having open ends, retaining lugs adapted for insertion in the terminals of the grooves to maintain the arm in an adjusted position, hook members carried by the bifurcations, and supplementary retaining lugs carried by the beam adapted for engagement With the hook members of the arm to maintain the latter in various other adjusted positions.

A device of the character described including a supporting beam, opposed sets of lugs carried by said beam, an arm, bifurcations carried by said arm provided with grooves adapted to simultaneously receive the opposed sets of lugs to maintain the arm in an adjusted position, one set of lugs constituting a fulcrum permitting the arm to swing upon withdrawal of the other sets of lugs, hook members carried by the terminals of the bifurcations, and means carried by the beam coacting with the hook members to maintain the arm in various adjusted positions.

A device of the character described comprising a supporting beam, lugs carried by said beam, an adjustable arm, bifurcations carried by said arm provided with internal grooves slidably and pivotally receiving said lugs, pins removably fitted in .the grooved portions of the bifurcations preventing withdrawal of the bifurcations from the lugs, and means coacting with the terminals of the bifurcations to retain the arm in various adjusted positions.
11. A device of the character described comprising a beam, side plates secured to the beam, lugs carried by the side plates, an arm adjustably supported by said lugs, angular extensions carried by the side plates overlying the terminal of the beam, and a wear plate interposed between the angular extensions of the plates and the beam.
