The-upper portion of themember 10 is providedwith an opening 18 and the lower portions of the members 12 `and 13 are provided with registering openings 19, which openings, are for the reception of rivets 20 employed for securing the said members, as well as a supporting clip 21 to theshade 5 and around the hollow rod 6 of the shade. The clip21 has near each of its ends an opening 22 for the reception ofV the rivets 20 and said clip is provided between said openings with an outwardly curved portion 23, which is substantially semi-circular in shape as shown.l

The inner surface of the outer clamping member 12 is provided with a series of projections 24larranged in curved rows, one above the other, as is clearly shown in Figs. 1 and 2 of the drawing. These projections are by preference formed by indentations produced on the outer surface of said member, and said projections are also by preference located in one "row in staggered relation to those in theother row. The inner surface ofthe `clamping member or part 13 of the body portion 10 .is provided with projections 25 arranged in transverse rows as shown in Fig. 3, which rows are located aboutthe same distance apart as the curved rows in the front clamping member 12, and the lower transverse row is located atv about the lower ends of the curved rows, while the upper row is .located at about the top of the lower `curved row.

From the foregoing and by reference to the drawing, it will be readily understood and clearly seen that as the clamping portions 12 and13 are secured together by a rivet 20, located some distance below the upper end of the clamping member 12, the upper portion of said member will be free to be sprung outwardly slightly byl the insertionof tickets 17 between the rounded portion 141 of the body part 10 and the upper portionv of the member 12, and that by reason of the inherent resiliency of the member' 12, as well as that imparted thereto by the spring loop 11 the tickets orchecks will be securely held in position, yet in such a manner that one of them can be withdrawn without the removal of the other or others. It is obvious that the projections 24 and 25 on they clamping portions of the holder will provide positive gripping or holding means for the tickets or checks.

It is further manifest that the rivet 20 which holds the lower portions of the -clamping members 12 and 13 and the lower part of the clip 21 together may be of suiicient length between its heads 26 to allow slight movement of the member 12 toward and from the member 13 incident to the action of the loop 11 or spring. It will also be understood that by making the curved portion 14 of the body part 10 of about the size of one-quarter of a circle, and by making the rearwardly curved part of the clip 21 of about semi-circular form with a lateral extension 27, the member 18 of the body portion will be located and held in an offset plane parallel to the body portion of the shade, thus allowing the lower portion 2S of the shade to hang down in front of the window sill, while the lower portion of the shade surrounding the roller will rest on said sill, thus excluding light from the window when desired.

Having thus fully described my invention what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is 1. A holder for tickets or checks consisting of a main or body portion having its lower portion extended back upon itself thus forming a front and a rear clamping member and provided above the free end of said front member with a forwardly curved portion and a vertical apertured extension above said curved part, and a clip having a rearwardly curved portion between its ends and secured to the rear surface of the body portion above and below the said curved parts thereof.
