concnnrngron yn Be it known that I, STEWART R. MGKAY, a citizen of the United States, residing at East Cleveland, in the county of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio, have invented a certain new and useful Improvement in Concrete-Forms, (Case A,) of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.
This invention relates to forms for use in building construction of the monolithic concrete type.
The invention particularly relates to forms composed of parts which are assembled in proper relation with respect to each other, so that plastic concrete material may be deposited in the forms to produce a monolithic structure of desired shape. The invention herein described relates more particu larly to fastening means or devices by which certain parts of the forms may be retained in place.
Generally speaking, the invention comprises the elements and combinations thereof set forth in the accompanying claims.
In the drawings forming part hereof, Figure 1 represents a perspective view showing one of the locking devices of my invention and illustrating how such devices may be applied to a pair of posts and cooperate with the associated panels; Fig. 2 a top plan view of one of the posts and the associated panels and locking devices; and Fig. 3 an elevation of the parts shown in Fig. 2.
For purposes of disclosure I will describe my invention as applied to wall construction, this being without any limitation upon the scope of my invention.
The construction embodied in my invention as applied to the building of walls, may be generally described as comprising a series of vertical posts 1, which are spaced suitable Between the upright posts 1 there extend panels 3, these panels being of convenient size to handle, and the panels are adapted to be held in engagement with the posts so that the posts and panels will form a substantially flat plain surface against which the concrete may be laid.
In the drawing I have shown two oppo- Specification of Let'tasraea; "Patented 1 ,9 7

sitely arranged structures of the character described, the two structures forming conjointly a mold for a monolithic concrete wall.
The panels 3 may be constructed in various forms and may be made of various mate rials or combinations of materials, but all panels will be so constructed as to engage with the posts in such a manner that they maybe held with respect to posts to prevent 'their movement when once in place. They are further secured to the posts in such a manner that they may be readily removed from the posts, to provide a form easy to assemble and disassemble. In the construction which I have shown in the drawing, 1 is a hollow post and has rearwardly extending portions which are adapted to be engaged by the ranger 2 and to support devices which will engage the panels 3 to hold them in proper position with respect tothe posts. In the drawing I have shown a form of my invention wherein the panel tongues 23* that, by swinging it away from the post to which it is connected, it will press against the tongue 3 of a panel and force the panel to its seat on the inner (or work-facing) side of the post. Then, by swinging the member 5 toward the post, it will disengage the tongue 3* and permit the panel to be removed from the post.
In Fig. 1, only one of my locking devices is shown, it being understood that the number employed will be sufficient to secure the various panels in place.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim is 1. In a form of the character described, the combination of a pair of spaced posts, a panel extending between the posts and en gaging the posts, a member pivoted upon each post, said member having a slanting surface which is adapted to engage the end of a panel, said member being movable upon its pivot toward the post to release the panel.
