` Application filed June 29, 1918. Serial No. 242,677.
To all whom it may concern:
I porters to the window casing by clamping means so as torender the use of screws and the like unnecessary. i. j
Another object of the invention is to provide a device of this characterwhich is simple and durable in construction, reliable and eificient in operation and one which can be manufactured and placed upon the market at a minimum cost.
The invention also consists in certain other features of construction and in the combinay tion and arrangement of the several parts,
to be hereinafter fully described, illustrated in the accompanying drawings and specifically pointed out in the appended claims.
In describing our inventionin detail, reference will be had to the accompanying `for supporting` the ends of the Each supporter comprises a screw threaded` indicates a socket for drawings wherein like characters denote like or corresponding parts throughout the several views, and in which:-
Figure 1 shows the invention applied to a window.
Fig. 2 is a side view of one of the supy porters.
y Fig. 3 is a longitudinal section.
Fig. 4 is a detail view.
As shown in these views the invention comprises a pair of supporters adapted to be placed on each side of the window casing curtain pole.

the sleeve and having their outer ends hooked andthe hooks covered with rubber as at 6. 7 in'dicatesayoke swiveled tothe end of the rod 1 and having its ends embracing the clamping members 5. These members are provided with roughened surfaces to prevent the yoke from slipping thereon.
8 is an arm pivoted to the sleeve between the pivotal points of theclamping members and having its outer end provided' with a rubber pad 9.
ln using the device the hooked ends are engaged with the edges of the casing and said edges clamped on the casing` by manipulating the .screw threaded rod 1. llhe arm 8 will engage the face of the casing and act as a-brace to support the weight of the` curtain.
When it is desired to use portire poles we provide a pair of pivoted fingers 10 located in slots formed in the rod 1. These ngers are adapted to be swung outwardly when in use to receive the vportiere pole between them. Whennot in use said fingers are received in the slot and we prefer to have-the screw threads in the rod extending over said fingers so that the'sleeve maypass over said fingers when necessary.
` It is thought from the foregoing description that the advantages and novelfeatures of our invention'will be .readily apparent.
We desire to be understood that we may make changes in the construction `and in the combination and arrangement ofthe several parts, provided that such changes fall within the scope of the appended claims.
What we claim is 1. A curtain support comprising a `pair of .members each consisting of a screw threaded rod, a sleeve thereon, clamping members pivoted to the sleeveand a yoke larried by the rod and engaging saidniemers.
2. A curtain support comprising a pair of members, each consisting of a screw threaded rod, a sleeve thereon, a pair of clamping members pivoted to -said sleeve, a yoke swiveled to the rod and engaging said members, and a supporting arm pivoted to the sleeve. i i
3. A `curtain supporter comprising a pair sleeve anda pair `of piv of members, each consisting of a screwv rod. I threaded rod, a, sleeve thereon a pair of In testimony clamping members pivoted tothe s1eeveaJ tures.
5 yoke swiveledto the rod and engaging said THEODRE H. MORRIS members, a supporting arm pivoted to the FRANK T. GRUBBE. Y
