IMPROVEMENT IN PRINTERS CASE-STANDS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 129,281, dated July 16, 1872.
Specification describing a nen7 and Improved Printers Oase-Stand, inventedby PETER S. gon, ofthe city, county, and State of New ork.
Nature and Objects of the Invention.
My said invention relates to type-stands used by printers. The invention consists in a printers case-stand, made of pipe and couplings, so that it can be readily taken apart for transporta-tion yand removal, while it is very strong, light, neat, and ornamental in appear- I take, of any desired size, iron pipe, say half-inch or three-quarters, the desired length s, and, with proper couplings, screw the whole together, as shown in the drawing. The couplings are cast with the projecting screw-ends of the desired number i-n the desired place upon them, as shown. The rods c c have a set-oft' formed by a coupling or equivalent for the edge of the back tray of the case-stand, while the front tray will rest aga-inst the edge of the couplings at a a. To the upright rods AA are attached, in any proper manner, by screws, rivets, or clamps, angle-pieces B B, in which the trays rest. It will be understood that the lengt-hs of pipe that make up the case are right and left screw-threaded. The case thus made is light, and can readily be made portable by unscrewing the parts.
