The contacts 2 and i operated by the spring controlled armature t can engage a am in the recess provided. in the locking disk 10, the'clutching electro-magnets w remain energized and cause the selecting disk to be taken around by the primary dis diiring a-complete' revolution, that is to say until the armature 25 comes to lie again in front ,of the recess provided in the locking disk to, the contacts t, it being then automatically disengaged from each other, thereby interrupting thecircuit of the clutching electro magnets; m and thus stopping the further rotation of the selecting disk.
Before arriving again in front of the contact c, the bell crank lever contacts gg which a have been operated, under the control of the clectro-magnet e are forced back to their original positions by means of the promoting rod 0 which lies in the path of the arms g of said levers and causes them to be moved back as they pass in front of it.

An electric selective device comprising in combination a series of switching, devices provided for the signs constituting a particular i nal, a series of switching devices provided for the spaces between said signs, a series of electro-rnagnets. individnaily associated with said switching devices, a to tary selecting disk, carwing the switching devices and the electro niagnets associated therewith, marking spacing contacts provided on the selecting disk, a receiving electro-magnet, a priming disk, a switching disk which is under the control of the re-. ceiving electro-magnet and is arranged to cotiperate with said marking and spacing contacts on the selecting disk, as and for the purpose set forth.
6. An electric selective device comprisingin combination a series of switching devices provided for the signs constituting a particnlar signal, a series of switching devices provided for the spaces between said signs, a series of electromagnets individually associated with said switching devices, a roseiecting disk carrying the switching devices and the electro-magnets associated therewith, marking and spacing contacts provided on the selecting dish, a receiving electro-magnet, a priming dish, a switching disk which is under the control of the receiving electro-magnet and is arranged to cooperate with the priming disk, an interrupting contact which is under the control of thereceiving electro-magnct and is arranged to cooperate with said marking and spacing contacts on the selecting; disk, an unlocking electro-magnet mounted on the selecting disk, and clutching electro-magnets mounted on the priming disk, as and for the purpose set forth.
7. An electric selective device comprising in combination a series of switching de *ices provided for the signs constituting a particular signal, a series of switching devices provided for the spaces between said signs, a series of electrmmagnets individually associ ated with said switching" devices, a rota selecting disk, marking and spacing conta provided on the selecting disk, a ing electrohiagnet, an interrupting contact which is under the control of the receiving electro-magnet and is arranged to cooperate with. said marking and spacing contacts, and means for returning the switching devices to their normal positions, as and for the pnrpose set forth.
In testimony whereof I name to this specification.
