Be it known that l, ANGELO M. Tozzi, a subject of the King of italy, and resident of Bayonne, in the county of Hudson and State ont New Jersey, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Styli for Sound-Reproducing Machines, of which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to a stylus for sound reproducing machines; my object being to provi "e a hard durable stylus whereby tone quality is preserved and whereby Wide variability of tone volume may be attained.

Accordingly my invention, generaliy stated, comprises a. stylus composed oi a stem or tang merging with a tapering concavoconvex portion terminating in a. track point.

The invention also comprises Jieatures of construction .which will be hereinafter described and claimed. f

The stylus, in' the typical form illustrated,

similarly. by 'adjusting the stylus to vary the position ot the point about the longitudinal axis of the stylus, amultipiicity of changes in tone volume can be eiieiently produced, as occasion may require.
