IMPROVEMENT IN ADHESIVE COMPOSITIONS FOR FLY-PAPER.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 128,-223, dated June 25, 1872 antedated J unc 6, 1872.
is to be increased until the base of the composition, (copal,) with the vehicle, (eastor-oi1,) unites so that it looks almost transp arent; then add the adjuvant, six and one-half pounds of Burgond resin, (Burgundy pitch,) and one pound of gum turpentine, stirring it from the commencement till the adjuvant (resin and turpentine) are perfectly melted then remove the composition from the fire or heat, and, while hot, spread it on such paper or other surface that will not soak or absorb the composition, ad libt'tum, (thick or thin,) leaving all round, say five;eighths of an inch margin, unpasted. The compound, composed of the several ingredients herein mentioned, in the proportions and combined in the manner herein described.
