Be it known that I, .ToHN`T. fRoemeen, a citizen of the United States, residing at Gliilgidelphia`7 in'the county of :Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and useful ironing-Board, of which the following' is a Specification.
This invention relates to ironing boards,
fone of its objects being to provide a devioe of this character which can be folded into a eoinpaet body when not in use and which can be readily' set up for use.
A further object is to provide an ironing' board including a supporting frame to Which the board proper is hingedly eonneeted, there being means adjnstably connected to the frame for supporting hanging tabries out oi contact with the floor.

and an ironing board movably connected to one end of the frame, of foldable supports connected to the ends of the frame, hooked hangers depending from the frame, rods revoluble in the hangers, al sheet connected at its ends to the rods, a loop outstanding from one of the rods, and means for rotating said rod to wind or unwind the sheet, said rod being shiftable longitudinally to 1o bring the loop into position to move into engagement With the adjacent hook when the sheet'l begins to unwind, therehy'to hold the rod against rotation.
