'following is a specication.
This invention has reference more particularly to head lights which are provided with means whereby the direction in which the light is projected may be adjusted, and is particularly applicable to the headlights of automobiles, although its use is notnecessarily confined thereto, but it may be used in any case where it is desired to adjust the direction in which the light is projected.
The object of this invention is to provide means for changing the direction in which the light is projected without moving the entire lamp structure, such means being capable of operation at the lamp or at a distance therefrom.
A. further object is the provision of adjustable reflecting means which may readily be mounted in the standard headlight without diculty,v and which does not require a @special lamp structure to use.
A further object is the construction of an attachment for standard head lights for changing the direction of projection of the light, said attachment being designed so that all .thevworking parts are mounted on the attachment in complete working condition so that the attachment maybe inserted in position in the lamp, complete and ready for operation without the necessity of connecting any of the working parts lto the lamp' casing or structure and making adjustments incident thereto.
A further object is the mounting of the movable parts of the reflecting means, by

In a device of the class described the combination of a lamp body, a yremovable reflector structure in said lamp body comprising a movable reector and means for supporting said reflector so as to be universally movable, means mounted on said structure and operating independently of the lamp body for moving the reflector, and means for detachably securing the reflector structure in the lamp body.

In a device of the class described the combination of a lamp body, a removable reflector structure in said lamp body comprising a stationary part, means for detachably securing the stationary par-t to the lamp body, a movable reflector, means for supporting the said reflector on the stationary part so as to be universally movable, and means for operating the said reflector said means having a bearing on the said stationary part and a power member attached to the movable reflector.
5. In a device of the class described the combination of a lamp body, a stationary part, means for detachably securing the stationary part to the lamp body, an adjustable reflector, means for supporting the adjustable reflector on the stationary part so that the reflector is universally movable, a tubular member mounted on the stationary part and an operating member movable lengthwise in the tubular member and connected to the movable reflector.
6. In a device of the class described, the
fixed part, and resilient means for holding the movable part of said reflector in operaet tive position upon the fixed part of said reflector.

In a device of the class described, the combination of a lamp body, a reflector in said lamp body comprising a plurality of parts, one of which has universal bearing with respect to the other, and co-acting means on said reflector parts for yieldingly holding said rellector parts in operative engagement with each other.
8. In a device of the class described, the combination of a lamp body closed at one end by a substantially flat glass, a reflector in said lamp body back of said glass, said reflector comprising a plurality of parts,60 one of said reflector parts being fixed With respect to the lamp body and the other reflector part being universally movable on said fixed part, and coacting means on each of said reflector parts for limiting the universal movement of said movable part of the reflector on said fixed part of the reflector.
9. In a device of the class described, the combination of a lamp body, a reflector in said lamp body comprising a plurality of parts, one of said reflector parts being fixed in but removable from said lamp body and the other reflector part being universally mounted on the fixed part of the reflector, an actuating device located at a place remote from the lamp body, a flexible casing extending from Within said lamp body to said actuating device, and means in said flexible casing operatively connected at one end to the universally movable part of the reflector and at the other end to said actuating device.
