Description

AVERY L en. ATKINS. Improvement in Rerolving Refrigerators.
- r Y 'Patenterl'wfy165187Kl XAGZnesses.
Um STATES GYRUS AVERY AND GUY D. ATKINS, OF ERIE, PENNSYLVANIA; SAID ATKINS ASSIGNS HIS RIGHTTO SAID AVERY.
IMPROVEMENT IN REVOLVING REFRIGERATORS.
Specication forming part of Letters Patent No. 126,771, dated May 14, 1872.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that We, GYRUS AVERY and GUY D. ATKINS, of Erie, in the count-y of -Erie and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and Improved Revolving Refrigerator; and we do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the annexed drawing which forms a part of this specification.
The object of our invention consists in providin g a revolving refrigerator, for use in barrooms and saloons for keeping bottles of liquor cool, and at the same time providing a water-cooler or receptacle for ice-water.
The following description will enable persons skilled in the art of making Water-coolers,
&c., to construct one of our improved refrigerators.
Our refrigerator consists of two leading parts-first, the top, consisting of an ice or wat-er chamber, A, constructed aft-er the manner of water-coolers generally, with filled sides a a a, &c., the base of which is projected, and in the said projection are constructed pockets `B for the reception of bottles D. These pockets are so arranged that water in the cooler stands on all sides of but does not enter the same; second, of the base, which is composed the iron revolving standard F G H and the sheet-metal case I. The standard is composed of a base, H, and upright pin G. On this lits the turn-table F. These parts are made of cast metal. Onto the turn-table F is Afastened the refrigerator A. vFitting around the base is the sheet-metal case I. This is.
secured around its upper edge so as to form a trough, J, which catches the drip from the bottle-pockets B. C is a cock entering the body of the cooler or refrigerator A, and from this the cold water can be drawn as from an ordinary water-cooler. The refrigerator being mounted on the turn-table F, it can be revolved freely, and the bottles in the various pockets surrounding the chamber A can be brought near to the operator.
What we claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is as follows:
.1. The combined refrigerator, for liquors, and water-cooler A, in combination with the turn-table F, standard G, and base H, constructed as described and shown.
2.v The base H, standard G, and turn-table F, in combination with the sheet-metal case I, constructed as described and shown.
