Be it known "that I, CnAnLEs KENrsToN, of`Boston, county of `Suffolk,the'Statefof p Massachusetts, have` invented a new and useful Improvement,` inl `Printing-Presses; and `Il do hereby declarefthe following is a"cfull` andfexact description thereof, reference being had to the jaccompanymg drawing, and

The letter A, is the handle of piston B, there being attached at its end a` die marked G., the whole having a reciprocating motion through the arm D.

The letter C, is a spiral spring is at- .tached or surrounds the piston B, for the purpose of giving the die an open position.

The letter D, is an extended arm which has an oscillating motion and turns upon the bed F, F. The bed F, F, is intended to hold the pads H, H, also supports the arm D.

The letter h, is a pin for the purpose of keeping the pads in their proper places.

The set screw a, operates in slot b, gives the piston a steady anddirect motion. The set screw g, holds firmer the die in its socket. t

The letter d, represents a check pin, and the catch e, allows the arm D, to oscillate at a given distance. t

What I claim as new and desire to secure 'by `Letters Patent is.- The arrangement and construction of the press as herein described.
