Definitions
- One or more embodiments relate to an organic light-emitting device and an apparatus including the organic light-emitting device.
- OLEDs are self-emissive devices that, as compared with other devices of the related art, have wide viewing angles, high contrast ratios, and short response times, and excellent characteristics in terms of luminance, driving voltage, and response speed.
- OLEDs may produce full-color images.
- OLEDs may include a first electrode on a substrate, and a hole transport region, an emission layer, an electron transport region, and a second electrode sequentially stacked on the first electrode. Holes provided from the first electrode may move toward the emission layer through the hole transport region. The temperature was then raised to 50° C., followed by stirring under reflux for 1 hour. Next, the temperature was adjusted to −45° C. 13.7 g (54.5 mmol) of boron tribromide and 14.1 g (54.5 mmol) of N,N-diisopropyl ethylamine (NetiPr2) were sequentially added dropwise to this solution. The temperature of the reaction flask was raised to room temperature, followed by stirring under reflux for 12 hours. Once the reaction was complete, an organic layer was extracted and concentrated using H2O and ethyl acetate. Then, through silica gel column chromatography, 3.3 g of Compound 1 was obtained at a yield of 18%.
