To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, Emu, CHARLESYGUS-V 'mv MUELLER, a citizen of the United States,
residing at Elizabeth, in the county of Union and State of New Jersey, have invented certain new-and useful Improvements in Transmitter-Mouthpieces, of which the following made of porcelain or other similar material, f
and an attaching ring secured in any suitable manner to one end thereof, said ring being provided with prongs adapted to engage projections formed integral with said body portion. A'mouthpiece made in accordance with the invention comprises the usual flaring bell shaped body portion, which is preferably molded from porcelain and provlded with the usual perforated partition or grid 2 adjacent the small end thereof. A substantially annular channel 3 is molded in the edge portion of the inner or small end of the mouthpiece. Lugs or projections 4 located in the annulus are provided with radially disposed openings or vents 5 molded therein, ich feature will be more fully describedhereinafter. This arrangement eliminates the necessity of any drilling operation in providing vents either before or after assembly of the elements 1 and 6, which materially reduces the portion 7 of the ring 6, and then said ring is inserted into the channel 3 with the spaces between the prongs of portion 7 registering with the openings 5, in which position the shoulder or abutment 8 is in contact with the end of body portion. The binder is allowed to harden, thus securing the ring 6 firmly in position. From the above, it will be apparent that a mouthpiece embodying the features oi this invention will be simple in structure and cheap to manufacture.
What is claimed is:
