The her if) is mom :1 y in Contact Wiih screw "2 So that :2 en'emt is made The curi mesons" p: see"; in rough the J i: 1'' 5 which is heat-11d toe it soon as he IGSLJLADCJ bar to be cooled sufficiently to its normal position and the circuit will he again nnuie it heat is regenerated for the the hat. It will, therefore. he there is a making aw circuit which permiis on:
enough current to pass through the circuit to maintain the article 4:0 to he heated at substantially uniform temperature.
Secured to said. block 12 over the bar 19 ",here is an upwardly and forwardly ing' arm 31 through which an adjusting screw 82 extends so as to bear against said bar and adjustably regulate the relative position. of the contact points 22 and By this regulating means the bar is adjusted so as to operate roughly between. certain de grees of temperature. After bar 19 has properly adjusted by screw 32 furtherad justment of the re ulation and control. of the temperature may be made by the thumb screw 251which further regulates the rela tive positions of points 22 and 23.
The invention claimed is:
1. A electric controller having an insulating b ock with a recess therein, a resistance coil in said recess, a terminal secured to one end of said block and connected with one end of said coil, a thermostatic bar secured at one end to the other end of said. block, the free end portion. of said. bar normally making contact-with the said terminal. and thereby connecting the bar and coil in the series, and means secured to said bar for limiting the movement thereof.
2. An electric controller having an insulating block with a recess therein, a resistance coil in said recess, a terminal secured to one end of said block and connected with one end of said coil, a thermostatic bar secured at one end to the other end of said block, the free end portion of said bar normally making contact with the said terminal and thereby connecting the bar and coil in the series, an arm. rigidly secured on the fixed end of said bar and extending upwardly therefrom, and a screw extending through said arm for engaging said bar and limiting the separating movement of said her and its contact point from said terminal.
3; An electric controller having a solid block of insulating material provided with a recess therein, a resistance coil in said re cess, a metal plate secured to one end of said blocl: and connected. with one end of said coil, and a thermostatic barrigidly secured to one end of said block, the free end portion of said bar being no *mally in contact with said plate, thereby connecti'np' the bar and coil in series.
l. An electric controller having. a solid block of insulating material provided with a recess therein, a resistance coil in said recess, a metal plate secured to one end of said block and connected with one end of said coil, a thermostatic bar rigidly secured to one end of said block the free end portion of said bar being normally in. contact with said plate, thereby connecting the bar and coil in series, and an adjusting screw passing; through said block and adjustable through said. plate having a contact point thereon whereby the distance between said last mentioned contact point and said bar may be regulated.
5. An electric controller having a solid insulating block with a recess therein, a resistance coil in said recess, a metal plate Secured to one end of said block and connected with one end of said coil, a thermostatic bar rigidly secured at the other end to said block, the free end portion of said her being normally in contact with said plate, thereby connecting the bar and coil in series, an arm secured to the fixed end of said bar extending thereover, a screw extending through said arm adapted to engage and adjust the position of said bar, and a controlling screw extending through the other end of said block adapted to screw through said plate and having a. contact point thereon adapted to regulate the distance between said contact point and the free end of said bar for controlling the amount of heat generated by said coil for breaking said contact.
In witness whereof, we have hereunto at fixed our signatures.
