IMPROVEMENT IN FEED-WATER HEATERS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 122,204, dated December 26, 1871.
Specification describing certain Improvements Fig. 2. Fig. 2 is a horizontal section taken on the line y y, Fig. 1.
A represents the two Wide corrugated or zigzag-shaped sides of the holder; B, the narrow sides; (3, the ends; and D, the pipe-connection. These parts comprise a holder for Water to be heated for supplying boilers.
I have devised this form of holder with special reference to the facility with which it can be molded andcast, so as to enable me to provide a cheaper heater with large heating-surface in a small compass than can be made of wrought metal or of tubes; but itmay be made of rolled sheet metal.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent The metallic feed-water heater, having two zigzag sides, A, narrow sides B, and ends 0, constructed as described.
