NON-SINKABLE BOAT.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ADOLPH J. CHAUVIN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Morgan City, in the parish of St. Mary and State of Louisiana,-have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Non-Sinkable Boats; and I do hereby deelare'the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters and figur es of reference marked thereon, which form a partof this specification.
This invention relates to new and useful improvements in hulls forboats and the object in view is to produce a substantial craft of this nature so-arranged that, in the event of the hull being punctured at different 10- cations, any water which may leak inside the hull will be confined in compartments, reinforced by a central longitudinal beam.
The invention consists of a simple and eflicient apparatus of this nature having various details of construction, combinations, and arrangements of parts which will be hereinafter fully described, shown in the accompanying drawings and then specifically defined in the appended claims.

Reference now being had to the details of the drawings by letter, A designates the hull of the boat, which maybe of any suitable material, and B are series of transverse partitions extending the entire Width of the boat and spaced apart suitable dis tances. the locations. where the brace -B passes through the partition, reinforcing angle irons H are utilized which serve as means for fastening the brace to the partitions.
By the provision of a hull made in accordance with my invention, it will be noted that a substantial and rigid hull is afforded which, in the event of being punctured at any location along its sides, will still keep afloat, any water which may fill one or several of the compartments not being sufiicient to prevent the boat fromfloating.
What I claim to be new is 1. A hull construction for boats having a series of transverse partitions, spaced apart and extending the entire length of the hull, a brace beam extending centrally through the various partitions and having a forked portion which passes through said partitions.
2. A bull construction for boats having a series of transverse partitions, spaced apart and extending the entire length of the hull, a brace beam extending centrally through the various partitions and having a forked portion which passes through said partitions, and angle irons secured to the inner surface of the wall of the hull and to which the partitions are secured.
3. A hull construction for boats having a series of transverse partitions, spaced apart and extending the entire length of the hull,
