Prior to attaching the plate G tothe car platform, the said plate may be rotated about the axis of the shaft the drum C more or less into position -to suit the line of draft of the chain. This determines the`points at which form, while the slots g enable the adjustnent of the plate G to take place after which the bolts d are tightened to assist -in maintaining the plate in the adjusted position.
