To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that T, WILLIAM J. MONSTER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Knoxville, in the county of Marion, State of Iowa, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Hens Nests; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.

This invention relates to hens nests.

The object of the invention is to provide a hens nest embodying two compartments and a hinged cover or lid for each compartment and means whereby said lids may be connected to be operated in unison.

A further object of the invention is to provide a hens nest of the type named which will be so shaped when the lids or covers are closed that it will be impossible for the into independent compartments 16 and 17 by means of a partition 18 which connects the front and rear members. It will be noted that the top member 15 extends only a slight distance toward the front member 14 and hinged to the forward edge of the top member 15 are lids or covers 19 or 20 which are adapted to close respectively the compartments 16 and 17. Mounted on the cover 19 and slidable in suitable guides 21 is a latch 22 which can be moved into interlocking relation with respect to a keeper 23 carried by the cover 20 and whereby the covers may be secured together for simultaneous movement. Each cover 19 and 20 has secured thereto adjacent its outer side edge a bracket 24 and pivoted to these brackets respectively are arcuate arms 25 and 26 having their outer edges provided with notches 27.
