In the accompaiiying drawings which show the preferred embodiment of the pres ent invention and to which reference is had herein by like characters designating corresponding parts throughout the several views:--Figure l is a sectional view through a circuit closer in accordance with this in" vention. Fig. 2 is a top plan view thereof.
A circuit closer in accordance with this invention is formed as illustrated in the drawing, being furnished with a dielectric base "21 adapted to be secured to a support as a wall A, rod extends through the i said base 21 and has a contact head 34 at one end thereof lying exposed and (lush with the face 25 of one base while the said line wire 14 is connected to the said rod by means of a set screw 26.
A bracket 27 is secured by a screw 28 to the said base and has a switch lever 29 pivoted thereto and provided with a foot 30 for engaging the contact head 2%. The other line wire 13 is positioned through an angular passage 31 of the base 21 and is secured to the switch leverscrew 28. A. coil spring 32 is provided in a recess of the said base and engages the inner free end. of the switch lever for normally influencing the contact foot 30 in engagement with the contact head 24 for completing the electrical connection between. the line wires 13 and 14. This being done, will complete the circuit from the battery (not shown) which supplies the line wires.
What I claim as new is 1. A thermal switch comprising a supporting base, a contact rod positioned therethrough and having a head lying flush with one face of the said base, a bracket secured to said base face, a switch blade pivoted to the said bracket and having a contact foot in normal engagement with the said head, resilient actuating means for the said blade, a post projecting from the said base, a link of highly inflammable material having perforations adjacent its opposite ends, a projecting arm carried by said switch blade and hooked over the free ends of the said post and arm, and a fusible cap mounted upon the said base and inclosing the said post and switch.

A thermal switch comprising an insulating supporting base, a contact rod extending through the base and having a head at one side of the base, a bracket mounted on said side of the base, a T-lever having one of' the arms of the T pivoted'intermediate its ends to the bracket, the remaining arm of the being rev'ersely curved to normally lie adjacent to but spaced from the rod head, said lever constituting a switch blade, a socket in said base adjacent the free end of the pivoted arm of the lever, a, spring mounted in said socket and bearing against the free end of said pivoted arm to normall urge the remaining arm toward the -rod' head, a post rigidly fixed to said base in spaced relation to the lever and provided 2 1,1a1,es0
