following is a full, clear and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings,
forming a part of this specification.
' y invention relates to improvements in draft rigging for railway cars. I
The object of my invention is to provide a draft rigging of efficient operation and one adapted toaflord an easy start to the railway'cars to which the same is applied.
In the drawings forming a part of this specification. Figure 1 is a plan. view, partly in horizontal section, of a draft rigging embodying my invention; Fig. 2 is a cross section on line 2-2 of Fig. 1: Fig. 3 is a cross-section on line 3-3 4 a side elevation of the draft gear; Fig. 5 aperspective view of the draft gear shell; and Fig. 6 a perspective VlQW of the rear follower.
Referring to the drawings, the numerals 7-7 indicate draft sills or parts of the carframe to which the draft rigging is applied; 8-8fri ntstop-members having the front stop-should" rs 9 9; 10-10 rear stop-incinbers havin the rear stop-shoulders 11-11.
The numeral 12 the rear end of which only is shown in Fig. 1 of the drawings, to which is secured the draft yoke 13 inclosing the front follower 14 and the draft gear 15.
The parts are supported between the sills by the tie-plate 16 suitably secured to the draft members 7-7 by the bolts 171'7.
