The rods are connected to tlie end truss plates as shown in Fig. 5, and then pass into notches in the central truss plate 5, as shown in Figs. 2, l and 4, forming a. framework having rods crossing beneath the rails, as shown in Fig. 2. This metal framework is, ofcourse. put in place before thev tie is molded, and the little trusses 5 and 6 hold therods in place While the concrete is becoming set.
