Be it known that I, RIVERA WARD, of Newark, in
the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have invented a new and improved Toy'-Hoop,.0f which the following is a-speoiiioation. Y
Nature of Invention.'
This invention consists in attaching to the crossbar or bars of a toy-hoop one or ymore bells, in suoli a manner that the'bell or bells are acted upon by a hammer formed with a slotted plate, which slides upon pius or studs in the -cross-har or bars, and, as the hoop is rolled, the hammer or hammers strike they bell, and are then thrown out of Contact with the same by means of a spring located upon the stud Aor,l

It will'be seen that as mau y cross-hars and bells as is desirable can be used, and, it' dilferent-'toned bells are used, a very pleasing effect will be produced'.
