IMPROVEMENT IN BEE-HIVES.
The Schedule referred to in thus Letters Patent and making of the same.
To all whom -it muyconcern l The nature of my invention consists in the construction and arrangement of an adjustable bee-hive head, as'will be hereinafter fully set forth.
In order to enable others skilled in the lart'to .which my invention appertains to make and use the same, I will now proceed to describev its construction and operation, Vreferzing to theV annexed drawings, in which* V l y Figure l is a longitudinal vertical section; and

A represents the bottom or base of my bee-hive l head, provided with a cap.B, hinged to ,the bottom at one side, and secured by lock and key vat the other. In the head thus formed are placed honey-boxes, C
, VC, all four sides of which are made of or provided with glass, and in their bottoms are holes or openings corresponding with similar holes or openings in the bot.- tom or'base A.

The complete head thus constructed can be placed on top of any bee-hive, and when the boxesare full of honey it can be removed and another put in its place, or the hive coveredwith any lid.

As a new article of manufacture, a bee-hive head,
composed of the bottom A, cap B, boxes O O, and
slats E E, -all constructed and arranged substantially as shown and, described, and for the purposes set forth.
