citizen of the United States, and a resident of Valdosta, in the county of Lowndes nu l i State of Georgia, have invented a new and l Improved Attachment for Conveyers for Bottled Soda-VValer, of which the following: is a full, clear. and exact description.
The present application is a division of an application filed by me July 31, 1912, Serial No. 712510, and it relates particularly to a deflector attachment arranged in connection with a table forming part of the apparatus.
The invention will be particularly eX-- plained in the specific description following.
Reference is to be had to the accompanying drawings forming a part of this specification, in which similar characters of reference indicate corresponding parts in all the views.

In (mustructivg the machine embodying my invention, a. suitable framework 10 is provided on which is mounted for rotation, a vertical shc ft 11 carrying at its to a circular table 12, adjacent to which tale and fixed to any convenient portion of the frame is a Vertical guard rim 1%. extending around the outside of the table 12, in close relation thereto for nearly complete circle, leaving an opening or throat 14, to which throat leads a con'veyer belt 15. At the throat 14 and brid ing the gap between the conveyer 15 and tie table 12, is a horizontal rotary disk 16, pivoted at its center at. 17 on an upright stud 18, said disk overlapping both the table 12 and the conveyer belt 15, and adapted to be rotated frictionally by the movements of said belt and table.
Any suitable means may be provided for rotating the table and actuating the belt; in the example given the. table is provided with peripheral ra k teeth .9, meshing with which is a spur pinion 20 on a short vertical shaft 21', said shaft timing a pulley 22. A

The belt 15 is of soft materiaL such as leather, fabric, or other new metallic matcriah and at the end adiieent to the table 12, the belt passes over a road drive pulley 29, the lower Stretch 15' 0f the belt passingbeneath said pulley 29 and be tween the same and a pulley 30, the latter being mounted on a shaft 31 that has bearing blocks 32 supported on springs 33 that tend to force the bearing blocks 32 upward to exert pressure on the lower run of the belt. causing the latter to be gripped between the upper and lower pulleys 29, 30 sufiicicntly tight to be driven. The prsure on the belt may be regulated by screws- 34 that take against the upper ends of the blocks 32. At the opposite end the belt runs over a pulley 35 mounted on an auxiliary frame 10 that supports also the outer end of the runway 26, 27. The driving shaft 25 of the pulley 29 and the Shaft 31 of the pulley 30 are geared together by spur gears 36. 37, fixed. on said shafts.
The rotation of the table 12 carries the bottles away from the disk 16 as fast as they are received on the table, and. in order that the bottles may not become inmmed on the table. nor jarred against each other, an attachment is provided whereby as the bottles are carried around the table after having been received. they will be directed toward the center. Thus a horizontal arm supported on the standard 39 from the frame 10 extends inwardly and overhangs above the table 12. and on said arm are arranged depending blades, three of which are indirated in the example shown. The blades are designated by the numerals 4O. 41 and 42. and the successive blades are separated by an increasing distance toward the center, there being in practice. more than three em- ,iloved. In practice the feed of the bottles to the table is not greater than the attendants can handle, but the vtable has such a capacity that any temporary suspension in the WOIk 'ofthe attendantsin removing the bottles fl'Olll the table while the conveyor continues ,to Operate and deliver bottles, Will simply serve to collect the bottles on the table, first at the outside and then gradually adding to the'collected bottles until the table is filled. c
Having thus described. my invention, I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent:
1. The combination of a rotary tablefl means or feeding bottles thereto, and a so rics of deflectors supported above the table and at points between the outer edge and the 1 center of the table and tending to deflect the bottles in a direction inward from the outer portion of the table.
The combination of a rotary table, means for feeding bottles thereto, and a series of deflectors supported above the table center of the table and tending to deflect the bottles in a direction inward from the outer portion of the table, the said deflectors being spaced apart and the distance between the outer deflectors being less than that of those deflectors nearer the center of the table.
3. The combination of a rotary table, a rim surrrmnding said table for its major portion, means for delivering bottles to the table, and deflectors supported above the table between the center and the rim and serving to deflect the bottles inwardly, there being a space at the center of the tables for assembled bottles.
